Green Electrical has been providing reactive and planned electrical services to The Brentano Suites for several years. The Brentano Suites are serviced offices and required a energy saving lighting solution as the offices are in operation 24 hours a day.
The existing lighting installation were fluorescent fittings that were operated by a timer between 7am - 7pm and then a over-ride to turn on the lights on after 7pm. The issue The Brentano Suites were having that the lights were being left on all through the night, even when the offices were not being used. Not only was this a waste of energy, costing money but also wastage on the light fittings and lamps, meaning they would need to be changed more regularly than scheduled, adding further costs.
Green Electrical solution was to disconnect the fittings from all timers and switches and install motion sensors for all communal areas. The motion sensors switches on the lights once movement has been detected, with a setting of 15 minutes for the lights to remain on. We also installed emergency lighting in the communal areas, using 1 watt LED pin spot.
