Established in 2008, Green Electrical & Maintenance Services Ltd or Green Electrical as we are most commonly known as offers a full range of electrical services to suit your needs – from lighting design and installation to complete domestic rewires. We are an approved NICEIC contractor, NICEIC Domestic Installer and an Approved Safe Contractor, providing a reactive and planned electrical service in London, St Albans and surrounding parts of Hertfordshire.
Green Electrical are fully insured, with £5 million-pound public liability and all of staff our annually DBS checked, giving our customers added peace of mind.

Green Electrical was first set up in Edgware, North London by two founding directors Paul Caulfield and Stephen Green.
Stephen, prior to Green Electrical was an experience domestic electrician, often working on multi-million-pound sites in Hampstead, Highgate and Finchley. Many of the properties that Stephen worked in require a high level of attention to detail as well outstanding workmanship. Luckily, Stephen was able to instil the same discipline and approach at Green Electrical.
Paul’s background was slightly different having joined Green Electrical after working for 14 years as a lighting electrician on TV and Film sets. Paul was fortunate enough to work on many leading lighting projects at some of the UK most famous landmarks with Buckingham Palace, 10 Downing Street, The Big Brother House and Witanhurst House, Highgate, where the BBC’s Fame Academy was filmed. Paul extensive knowledge in lighting and Stephen’s vast experience as a diligent electrician, was the bases of Green Electrical and how the business was set up.
Within a small time period, we established a small customer base and were regularly receiving repeat business. We quickly expanded from one van to three vans and moved to Finchley, North London where we also opened an Electrical Wholesalers retail shop. Green Electrical continued to steadily grow, covering West London as well as Central London and North London, attracting a large customer base.
In 2014, after 6 years at Green Electrical, Stephen left the company due to a change of family circumstances and a relocation to the North of England. At this period, Green Electrical were self-employing up to 8 electricians along as employing 4 electricians on a full-time basis.
In 2015, Green Electrical went through a remodelling process, where we relocated to St Albans, Hertfordshire and looked to change the structure of the business. We shifted our focus from undertaking larger site projects to planned and reactive electrical call out service. Our ethos in how we operated also changed by the way we employ, offer training courses and interact with our customers. Also, in 2015, we finally went digital! Green Electrical uses a sophisticated operating software call ‘Jobber’, which has received great feedback from our customers, helping to schedule jobs, send appointments reminders and interact further with our customers with its flexible on-line quotation platform.
Today, Green Electrical, with a fleet of 4 vans covers many parts of London, including Fulham, Chelsea, Shepherd’s Bush from West London, Crouch End, Hampstead and Finchley from North London and St Albans, Harpenden and surrounding areas from Hertfordshire. We also serve and work for many estate agents, chartered surveyors, retail outlets, schools, serviced offices and private domestic customers. Our services have also expended, where we offer a complete lighting services, which includes design, smart lighting control and installation.
