For this installation and customer, we undertook a pre-installation survey to make sure the electric charging point installation was possible and to determine whether an OLEV grant could be applied. The site survey is undertaken before a quotation is issued and to see if the quote would fall under our standard installation process.
Once the site survey is complete, Green Electrical issues a written quotation for our standard installation. If accepted, our administation office will issue the relevent forms, including the OLEV annex D forms to start our OLEV grant applicaiton.
The OLEV grant can be issued for upto 75% of the installation cost, with a maximum claim of £500.00.
When all is in place, normally within a matter of days, a installation date is arranged. For this installation our engineers installed a new Hager garage unit complete with a main switch and a 32A RCBO with a A type RCD. The circuit is then installed to the 18th editions wiring regulations and terminated to the newly mounted Pod Point electric charging unit (EVC). Our installation is then comissioned and being an NICEIC Approved contractor, a NICEIC electrical installation certificate in then issued.
