We are pleased to announce that Green Electrical has teamed up with Nuffield, St Albans and Movember, and will be hosting a fundraising day on the 30th November between 12-5pm at Nuffield Health Club Highfield Park Drive, St Albans AL4 0AH.
We will be participating in ‘Move this Movember’ by running or walking 60 kilometres. That’s 60 kilometres for the 60 men we lose to suicide each hour, every hour across the world. Green Electrical will be inviting 60 local St Albans businesses, friends and family to take part and run 1km each on a running machine for a minimum donation of £10. For each participant who complete the 1km run, Nuffield will offer a free 7-day pass as our way of saying thank you.
Throughout November Green Electrical will also be donating £5 to Movember for each booking made as well as sporting the customary Moustache.
If you would like to take part and run or walk 1 of the 60km, then please register your interest. There are no time restraints on completing the 1km, with a brisk walk taking around 9 minutes to complete.

Movember is the leading global organisation committed to changing the face of men's health issues such as Prostate Cancer, Testicular Cancer and suicide.
Men’s health is in crisis. Men are dying on average 6 years earlier than women, and for largely preventable reasons.
Prostate cancer rates will double over the next 15 years. Testicular cancer rates have already doubled in the last 50. And across the world, one man dies by suicide every minute of every day, with males accounting for 60% of all suicides. – Extract from Movember.com
Move for Movember
How will it work?
On Saturday 30th November, Green Electrical has teamed up with Nuffield St Albans to host ‘Move for Movember’. Move for Movember is a 60km run/walk remembering the 60 men we lose to suicide to every hour worldwide. To participate, we ask for a minimum donation of £10 for each kilometre that’s run.
Nuffield St Albans (Nuffield Health Club Highfield Park Drive, St Albans AL4 0AH) will kindly be providing a running machine for 60 participants made up from family, friends and local businesses to each run a kilometre. The ‘Move for Movember’ will take place between 12-5pm with each kilometre estimated to take between 5-8 minutes to complete. To avoid waiting and congestion we will be estimating run times at 8 minutes intervals ie 12.00, 12.08. 12.16, 12.24 and so on. We kindly request that all participants arrive 10 minutes prior to their allocated times so we can keep and maintain a flow of runs.
All runs will be posted on social media to help raise the awareness of Movember as well as sponsorship. If the participant would like to make any additional requests such as tagging in a local business or services, then please let us know.
