Free Electrical Emergency Callouts to NHS Staff

Following on from the government recent updated guidelines and the evolving Coronavirus situation, from Monday 23^rd March, we will be reducing the services that we provide. The services we are continuing with, will be provided with restrictions. Over the next 48 hours, will be making an updated statement on our services.  

Community matters to us here at Green Electrical and we would like to do our bit. Obviously in these times there is very little most of us can do however from Monday 23^rd March 2020, we would like to provide all NHS staff living in St Albans & Harpenden an emergency fault find and repair service up to 1 hour completely free of charge*. Please note: This service is for emergency call outs only and does not include installation works or non-essential electrical work.

By offering this service to NHS staff is our very small and little way of saying thank you for the incredible, unselfish and hard work you are currently doing. If you are there to support us, then we will be there to support you.

Naturally, we want to also protect our engineers so please think of us too. Our emergency callout service will be for electrical faults that effect our daily lives – No lights, no power to sockets or loss of power to heating systems. It will not cover non-essential faults such as garden power or lighting issues, outdoor or security lighting, Doorbell faults and other small electrical faults that wouldn’t impact our daily lives.

In the meantime, we would like to say to our customers, friends and family to stay safe, to think of others and to follow all expert advice given by the government. Together we will beat Coronavirus.

T&C’s for our emergency fault finding services:

1. Precautions:
   1. For all electrical emergency callout works we always require for the Green Electrical Engineer attending to have a 2-meter working space maintained.
   2. For the customer to notify, Green Electrical prior to our agreed appointment if there are any signs of illness or symptoms of Coronavirus. Green Electrical will not undertake any works with these symptoms.
   3. Where possible, for our engineers to work in unoccupied room/s whilst we undertake this service.
   4. Our engineers will always wear gloves and any other PPE equipment.
   5. All job sheets, invoicing and payments (where applicable) to be contactless.

2. Our Services:
   1. Green Electrical would never provide any services or engineers against government guidelines.
   2. Green Electrical will only assign fit and health engineers. Any Green Electrical engineers that report Coronavirus symptoms or any other illness will be instructed to self-isolate.
   3. Green Electrical will continue to offer limited and restricted electrical services until otherwise instructed or unhealthy to carry out the works ourselves.
   4. Green Electrical has the right to cancel any appointments with immediate effect.
3. Appointments:
   1. Prior to any emergency call outs, we would require an email where possible, stating the electrical fault, a brief description of the fault and any relevant photos.
   2. Photos to be Provided:

1. A clear photo of the distribution board/ Fuse-board. Clearly showing the Brand and type of device.
2. A clear photo of the location of the fault.
3. A clear photo of any electrical items that maybe relevant to the fault.
